Atlanta Record Executive Chris Cunningham shared her D’Angelo memories. R&B Recording artist, D’Angelo, who passed, October 14th, achieved his first chart success while signed to EMI Records in the mid 90s. The dedicated promotions team lead the way to chart topping singles, “Brown Sugar”, “Lady” and others. Former Southeast Region Director of Promotions with EMI, Chris Cunningham, had this to say,
“Former staff members of EMI Records are deeply saddened at the loss of this talented and creative artist. His contributions to the music world will continue to have a lasting effect. We’d like to extend our since condolences to this children, other family members and personal friends. May he rest in peace”.
