SSRS Acquires Edison To Expand Expertise

SSRS, a full-service market and survey research firm, has acquired Edison Research, a global leader in quantitative and qualitative research. The acquisition unites two respected organizations with deep expertise in public opinion, election polling, and audience measurement.

Edison Research has been the exclusive provider of Election Day polling for the National Election Pool since 2003 and has conducted international election studies across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The firm is also known for its influential research on audio, podcasting, and digital media.

“By bringing Edison Research and SSRS together, we’re combining two teams with a shared passion for research and innovation,” said SSRS President Melissa Herrmann. “Our alliance expands the ways we can support our research partners and deepens our ability to help the public, media, and policymakers make sense of how people think, vote, and engage with the world.”

Edison Research co-founders Joe Lenski and Larry Rosin will join SSRS’s leadership team to help guide the company’s next phase of growth. “Joining SSRS marks an exciting new chapter for Edison Research,” said Rosin. “Both companies are dedicated to rigorous methodologies, trusted insights, and advancing the field of research.”

Lenski added, “Collectively, our organizations bring unmatched expertise across qualitative and quantitative research, media insights, and public opinion measurement.” Both companies will continue to serve clients under the SSRS umbrella, maintaining their shared commitment to transparency, quality, and innovation while introducing expanded.
