Too Many Leaders Confuse Vulnerability With Venting. That may sound harsh, but it’s the truth.
LinkedIn is not your therapist’s couch. I’ve seen folks share raw, unprocessed struggles online in the name of “authenticity.” And while courage is admirable, oversharing can dilute credibility fast.

Here’s the test I give my clients:
> If you wouldn’t share it from a stage in front of your team or investors, don’t post it on LinkedIn.
> Thought leadership isn’t about validation. It’s about value.
> We’re living in the Trust Economy™ where your credibility is the currency.
> Every post either deposits into that trust account or drains it.

Want to make sure you’re on the right side? Run your story through these 3 filters before hitting publish:

  • Is it processed (lesson learned) or still raw?
  • Does it create clarity for others or just closure for me?
  • Does it strengthen my credibility or weaken it?

Speak from your scars, not your wounds.
Your audience doesn’t need your unfiltered stream of consciousness.
They need your perspective.
They need your leadership.
That’s how vulnerability becomes a trust multiplier and not a liability.
