The Bill Gay Show Atlanta Classic Hits & Talk Radio

Cumulus Media announces that Atlanta CHR station, Q99.7/WWWQ-FM will launch a new afternoon drive program hosted by popular Atlanta on-air personality, Kristin Klingshirn. “The Kristin Show” can be heard on Q99.7 Monday through Friday from 2:00pm-7:00pm, beginning Monday, January 26th. Klingshirn, longtime Co-Host of “The Bert Show,” broke the news to Q99.7 listeners on-air and via the Q99.7 social media platform this morning.
Klingshirn joined “The Bert Show” as Co-Host in 2011 on WWWQ-FM. The show was later heard in over 20 markets across the U.S. and ran for about 25 years before ending in October 2025, when Bert Weiss retired. Klingshirn was honored with a prestigious Gracie Award in 2025 for her work as a co-host on the show and recognizing her contributions to issues impacting women and mothers. She started her radio career with promotions and on-air roles at stations in Lexington, KY, Cincinnati, OH, and Raleigh, NC, before landing in Atlanta.
Justin Schaflander, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Atlanta, said: “Kristin’s return to Q99.7 marks the first of many exciting moves as we begin a powerful new chapter for this heritage Atlanta brand. Klingshirn commented: “When The Bert Show concluded, I was far from done with Atlanta radio. And turns out, Atlanta radio was far from done with me. I’m thrilled to be continuing my radio career on Q99.7 – this time as a host! We will be unveiling my co-host very soon, so stay tuned.”
Klingshirn noted: “Our mission is to bring lots of laughter to your afternoons while using our platform to help our communities. That includes the continuing support of Bert’s Big Adventure! What’s the point of having a voice if you don’t use it for good? Can’t wait to be back on the air this coming Monday!”
Right now, the U.S. Supreme Court is considering a case that could strip away a core American right: fair and equal representation. This is about whether Black, Brown, and multiracial communities can have a real say in who represents them.
If the Court rules this way, states could redraw voting maps that silence communities of color—with almost no accountability. That means it would be easier to shut people out of power, especially in the South, and harder for families to elect leaders who actually fight for them. Stay tuned and get involved.
This isn’t a time to be invisible if your associated with an urban radio station. Midterms are coming and a change will be created collectively with your voices.
